Software Development, Maintenance, & Implementation

As an aviation company, Tradewind uses a suite of tools across its business functions to keep our operations running. There are software packages that we consume as licensed users, and there are software products that we have built ourselves.

If you have a request for the IT team to build a new feature into our software or to work with our vendors to get it added, please fill out this form and submit via email to techsupport@flytradewind.com.

Have something bigger in mind?

Step 1Fill out this Project Request Template and or set up some time to meet with our team.

Book time with Anne Culpepper: Office hours

There is a sample project request in the Resource Library. If you have issues accessing the project request form from the link above, download a copy here and email the completed form to techsupport@flytradewind.com.

At this point, we're working with you to understand of the scope of the challenge. We can give you our initial impressions and offer some recommendations.

You might walk away with some ideas that you can implement right away.

Or we might conclude that your business problem needs an investment to implement a solution for your team.

Step 2. Soft pitch a Business Case

Properly scoping and estimating a mid to large sized project is an investment for the IT team.

To get a green light on entering the scoping and estimation phase, prepare a basic outline of the problem and the desired outcome & anticipated ROI for the Director of IT. You can later use this to develop your business case.

Step 3. IT works on an Estimate. If needed, additional details or clarifications are requested.

Step 4. IT delivers an estimate. Add this to your business case and propose to SLT for approval.

Step 5. If approved, your project enters the development pipeline. The Technical PM will break the project out into development sprints to implement a solution that fits your needs.

Business Case

What is a business case?

A business case is a document or justification that outlines the reasoning, benefits, costs, and potential risks of a proposed project or investment. It is used to help make informed decisions about whether to proceed with an initiative.

At Tradewind Aviation, department leaders need a business case, an estimate, and sign off from SLT to proceed with a software investment.
